Aorus X870 Elite WiFi 7 Motherboard Review

Sandra is a software collection of synthetic benchmarks that will give us a basic idea as to what a system is capable of. It should be noted that SiSoft numbers change depending on what hardware is being tested. These were recorded using Sandra Professional Version 31.115.2021.12
Synthetic performance never really tells the entire story, but is a good indication of what the system would probably be capable of doing under the right conditions. For this set of benchmarks I wanted to show how the Ryzen 9 9950X stacks up against the Core i9 14900k. The challenge here is that while our benchmarking suite works well on the Intel side of things, there are some differences when it comes to running them with AMD hardware.
The Rightmark audio benchmark is a great tool for exposing audio specs for the various chips and software used and read much like if you were buying an amplifier or sound system for your house. Sadly, the audio solution on the AORUS X870 X Wifi 7 wouldn’t allow me to run the benchmark so, you will just have to image how it sounds OR, forget it completely and use your USB headset like before.
Now that we have two X870 motherboards in the collection we can clearly see that there is virtually no difference between them when looking at out of box performance.
