If you are not familiar with these 60% keyboards the size may surprise you. The CK60 measures in at 300 x 110 x 39 mm (about 11.81 x 4.33 x 1.54 inches) and weighs in at a sturdy 2.8 lbs. (~1270 grams). This is one of the heaviest micro keyboards but on par with many of our full featured keyboards.
There is no denying the beautiful one-piece Aluminum design simply looks fantastic and adding an additional gold-plated section as an accent was an excellent choice. The Ck60 looks like it is expensive! The entire design was built with customization in mind. The 60% frame is compatible with most Standard 60% PCBs opening the door to a world of customization options.
Thanks to the additional weight and four good sized rubber feet, the CK60 fells very grounded on my desk. I did not experience any drifting even during frantic FPS play.
Gateron Red Linear Switches are the most popular Gateron choice for mechanical gaming keyboards. The reds are lightweight and have a shorter pre-travel distance providing quick and consistent keystrokes with out the noise often associated with mechanical switches.
The ability to quickly pull and replace each individual key allows for endless customization with out breaking the bank. You could swap out just your WASD keys for example. The CK60 supports swapping keycaps with any compatible Cherry MX style caps!
Connectivity is provided by a Wire Mesh Sleeved USB C cable connected to the back left. I am a big fan of these removable cables as the cable connections tend to be the most common failure points on all of my peripherals!
CyberPowerPC even includes a nice Keycap and Switch Remover. Clearly, they are expecting you to make the CK60 the foundation for customized keyboard options over its long lifespan!
