Z790 Elite X WiFi 7
In Episode 151 we talked about an exclusive media event hosted by Gigabyte to announce the Z790 motherboard refresh that they called “Fast Track to Gen X”. The new motherboards featured numerous technical upgrades to increase memory overclocking performance, network performance with WiFi 7 and several usability updates designed to make building a system considerably easier.
For this episode the duo is taking a hands on look at the new Z790 Aorus Elite X Wifi 7. This is one of the midrange motherboards in the Z790 X lineup designed to provide an excellent balance between price and performance. Whie the motherboard has been trimmed down in extra features it does come with every one of the X edition upgrades including WiFi 7.
Predator Hermes RGB DDR5 Memory
The next segment is dedicated to DDR5 memory including another unboxing of the Predator Hermes. BIWIN Storage Solutions is a rather new memory company that has sent over a set of their Premium Predator memory modules for review. These feature a high-quality aluminum heatspreader and are available in speeds ranging from 6800Mhz to 8000Mhz and three color options including Grey, White and Black.
