EVGA GTX 680 Classified Uncovered
One of the reasons for my visit to EVGA was to get a better look at the EVGA GTX 680 Classified. This will be one of the EVGA flagship products and also one of the first GTX 680's to really enable extreme overclocking without any PCB modifications.
During the Computex EVGA showed the Classified card without a back plate and indicated that one would be available before the card launches. Well, here is an exclusive look at what the EVGA GTX 680 Classified aluminum back plate will look like.

The Kepler architecture not only brings amazing GPU processing power to the desktop but does so with very little heat under normal operation. Because of this the stock fan is quieter and the heatsink can be smaller.
So what does the heatsink look like on the EVGA GTX 680 Classified? Well a little something like this.

The cooler is a vapor chamber design with a bonded thin fin radiator attached. The blower motor is a considerable distance away from the heatsink to both increase cooling performance and minimize noise.
