Hardware Asylum recently attended the Boise LAN 14 to partake in some late night gaming fun, pizza and prizes. During that event we often get asked several common questions.
Which got us thinking about why we play the games we do. The general consensus is that we play the games we do because we like them and they have kept our interest, often for years after the initial release.
Fallout and RPG Veteran Josh Sawyer was saying something similar in a recent article on Games Radar indicating that most gamers aren’t concerned with the length of a game but rather how engaging it is. In fact, most gamers rarely finish a title making you wonder if the game was too difficult or just had too much content.
In this episode the duo discusses the games they play and even dive into some stats related to how game content has exploded since the inception of the respective titles. For instance, can you image that Doom Eternal is 190% longer than the original Doom (yes the one you can run on just about anything)
