    Introduction

It’s always fun to discover a new company supporting enthusiasts with good gaming hardware. Today we will be looking at the Endorfy Thock 75% Wireless Red Mechanical Keyboard; an enthusiast grade keyboard from Polish manufacturer Endorfy.

Coming in at a trim 75% of your standard keyboard, the Thock features wireless connectivity, mechanical switches and RGB lighting.  Let’s take a closer look!

The Endorfy Thock comes in several switch combinations. You can get the Kailh Box Red shown here, the Kailh Box Black or the Kailh Box Browns all on a black-as-night chassis reinforced with aluminum for maximum RGB visibility.

I should also note, this keyboard looks remarkably like my daily driver the ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Deluxe Keyboard. You can even get the optional wrist rest.

Endorfy specializes in selling high-quality gaming peripherals and accessories. The company focuses on providing top-tier products for gamers and tech enthusiasts, offering a wide range of items such as keyboards, mice, headsets, controllers, and other gaming equipment. Endorfy is a go-to destination for anyone looking to enhance their gaming setup with top-tier peripherals.

You have many smaller keyboard formfactors to choose from these days but the most popular are the 65% and 80% or Tenkeyless (TKL). With the 75% you split the difference giving up the seldom used ten key area while retain the function keys and the arrow keys.

The black color scheme combines black and grey keycaps with an attractive brushed aluminum faceplate. Branding is limited to the front left and the space between the keys on the right and it is almost invisible.

We talked more about this keyboard and performed a live unboxing in our February Podcast 166 Extra.

Connectivity options can be found on the right side of the keyboard. The Thock can connect via Bluetooth or 2.4GHz wireless adapter. Those opting for wireless can expect up to 75 hours of battery life on a single charge.

This version of the Thock comes with the Kailh Box Red switches. These switches are linear mechanical switches known for their smooth and consistent feel, making them popular among typists and gamers who value speed and precision. These switches feature a clean actuation without any tactile bump or audible click, allowing for rapid keystrokes with minimal resistance.

There are some simple cable channels on the bottom and four good sized rubber feet. The back feet are on the ergometric feet with two height adjustments.

A clever storage solution for the dongle and the second key cap remover holds things in place for safe keeping.

    Testing

I have been using the Endorfy Thock as my daily driver for over a week and find it easily meets my needs for both work and gaming.  Choosing an 75% TKL design means your compromises are pretty manageable making the adjustment period much easier than the 65% keyboards it competes with.

The Kailh Box Red switches fell very similar to the Cherry MX keys that helped define the category.  If anything, the Kailh Box Red switches provide a balanced typing experience that is both responsive and comfortable.

For gaming I felt right at home after my ROG Strix keyboard.  I never missed the ten key section and noticed no adverse change in my performance.

    Conclusion

The Endorfy Thock 75% Wireless Red Mechanical Keyboard looks and performs great! I have always loved the smaller TKL format and the Thock is a nicely loaded version at a very attractive price point. I just don’t miss the tenkey at all. Combining the smaller footprint with a full featured mechanical gaming keyboard just makes sense.

Choosing a small form factor keyboard often requires you to accept some compromises to get to a smaller size. The Endorfy Thock 75% Wireless Red Mechanical Keyboard requires almost none of these compromises making it a near plug and play change in a smaller footprint.
