EVGA Taiwan Office Visit 2012

Office space in Taiwan is quite expensive so they tend to make use of what little they have for maximum benefit.  Sometimes that means setting up systems on filing cabinets and stacking excess PCBs high above the ground where only the rats can tell what you have.

Of course excess hardware tends to pile up and if you go digging you sometimes find old treasures such as this zombie mod Tin prepared.   For those of you who don't know a zombie mod is used to replace the onboard PWM with a super charged version for maximum overclocking.  

When I visited Vince was recovering from the Computex show and trying to gather up all of his hardware including a prized CPU collection.  Here you can see him testing a processor which didn't want to boot.

It was decided that maybe if the CPU was cold it would finally come back to life and what better way to make something cold then drop it into some LN2.

With LN2 it will boil instantly when it encounters something warm.  That is why you can see people pour LN2 on their arms with no fear of getting burned.  Because of this if you want to freeze something you have to keep the item submerged for a very long time and once the bubbles stop you can remove it.
