Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti Video Card Review

Removing the four spring screws allows you to remove the custom Windforce cooler and see the component layout below.
The Windforce has become a common cooling solution on all of the high-end Gigabyte video cards and is often regarded as one of the coolest factory heatsinks on the market today. Each video card gets a special heatsink design however; there are some very obvious similarities. The first is the large cooling fans that are both quiet and powerful followed by the shapely fan shroud that protects the fans from damage.
Power is delivered using a surprisingly small 2 phase VRM and located on the side nearest the video connectors. You may also notice that the Windforce is also cooling two of the four ram chips which seems strange and more of a cooling opportunity that intentional cooling plan.
The reference GTX 750 Ti design called for a half-width PCB and didn’t require an additional power connector. Mfgs were allowed to include one in their designs which help stabilize the card and allows higher levels of overclocking.
Now all we need is a larger VRM and we might be on to something, kinda.
