    Katana V2 Driver Software Continued

Let’s take a closer look at some of the selections from the Device page.

The Acoustic Engine can be configured for both headphones and for your Katana v2. Keep in mind that Super X-Fi will use its own settings when enabled for your headphones.

You can configure your Surround level; enable sound processing with the Crystallizer, set up Smart Volume settings to avoid abrupt audio changes or use Dialog+ to enhance voices in both music and movies.

Of course the Katana v2 has improved RGB accent lighting.  Just like the sound profiles there are 7 preset profiles for your lighting.  Customization options include speed of lighting changes, direction, and type of motion and of course, color selection.

One nice addition is the Music Reactive option.  The ability to have your lighting react to the music or even in game sound is a welcome change.  You can set the idle rate, the reactive range and the rate of decay.

The revised lighting is both brighter and smoother than the Blaster X model. It simply looks great! The lighting follows the front and sides providing a stunning ground effects style light show.

The feet of the Katana V2 are short leaving no room to run cables under the soundbar. This does make it a challenge to place the Katana V2 directly under monitors with a larger footprint when the feet get in the way.
