Creative Sound Blaster GS3 Layout and Features

The Creative Sound Blaster GS3’s compact design makes it a comfortable fit under a typical 27-inch monitor. I found it makes a nice accent sitting behind my ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Deluxe Keyboard.

The all-black design is nicely accented by the Creative logo on the right side.  The front mesh breaks up the lines nicely while hiding the two-front facing, full-range race track drivers. A single LED on the right front side provides power status.

There are several connectivity options: USB-C, AUX-in cable, and wireless Bluetooth 5.4.  These options allow you to use eth GS3 with your PC, any gaming console or through your favorite Bluetooth devices like your phone.

Control is provided on the right side. A large volume control knob is surrounded by buttons to toggle inputs, enable Creative’s Superwide technology processing and to cycle the RGB lighting effect. A headphone jack is also available for your convenience. Pressing the knob will mute the sound when needed. No software is needed.

Two wedge shaped feet help elevate and target the sound while providing a good grip for most surfaces. Power is provided via the USB-C port directly.  To operate as a stand-alone device, you will need to provide power from a compatible device or a separate USB power adapter, not included.

A unique curved port tube is visible on the back side. This port helps to enhance the sound by increasing back pressure to improve speaker efficiency. It may not replace a dedicated subwoofer but it does provide a surprising large sound stage for such a small setup.

The RGB bar runs the full length of the GS3 and provides a beautiful ground effect lighting. The downward orientation means you can have your color without too much distraction. The soundbar offers multiple advanced lighting presets, Chasers, Aurora, Peak Meter, Glowing, Wave and Cycle. You can also disable the lighting if desired.
