    HyperX Predator Memory Overview

Predator modules feature the HyperX "tall" heatspreader design that comes with a familiar cooling fin design across the top.  The face of the heatspreader is decorated with and a superimposed HyperX “X” across the face of the module and different finishes to accentuate the design from the module.

Module height has always been a concern when it comes to system builds since heatink manufactures often build their designs based on JEDEC module designs.  This is great when using vanilla memory modules but, once you switch to performance memory your cooling method can becomes a concern.

In terms of overall height the module measures in at two inches tall placing it in the realm of many other performance modules such as the Corsair Dominator and GSkill Trident.   Other than the badass black heatspreader and black PCB the modules are rather plain when it comes to outward appearance.

Under the heatspreader (if we had removed it) you will find a standard height memory PCB with an array of BGA memory chips soldered across.  Unlike some of the other modules we have reviewed the PCB doesn’t come with any special cooling features, lights or extra connectors.
