Yeyian Spark Series 2000 Lighting and Conclusion

The Spark Series 2000 is ready to go right out of the box thanks to the software free design.   It definitely looks like some of my TKL keyboards costing more than twice the MSRP!

Yeyian’s Vivid Dynamic RGB backlight color is single key programable with 13 predefined effects such as breathing, ripple, etc. to cycle through. The RGB lighting is pretty clean without being overly bright even at the highest brightness setting.  Sadly, moving to onboard settings mean you will not be syncing lights to other components.

    Testing

I have been using the Spark Series 2000 as my daily driver for over a week and find it exceeded my expectations.  Of Course, choosing a TKL design means compromise.  I did find some of the keys a bit busy with abbreviations that had me looking for the manual but once things were dialed in, I felt confident and quick.

For gaming, I quickly adapted thanks to a familiar layout and the snappy feel of the blue switches.  I have run one TKL keyboard or another for months and find I almost never missed the tenkey. One advantage of this particular layout is all the F keys and such are right where you expect them to be.

    Conclusion

I continue to be amazed at just how affordable YeYian products can be for their feature set.  The Yeyian Spark Series 2000 Gaming Keyboard is no exception providing a feel easily as good as the competition for much less.

I am particularly amazed at the modular switch design and the inclusion of extra switches. This keyboard might make a great introduction to the world of completely custom keyboards and switch combinations. If you are on the market for a TKL mechanical keyboard, and you the Spark Series 2000 is an affordable option loaded with features!
