Conclusion
Arctic Cooling is a Swiss company dedicated to providing a variety of aftermarket cooling products and accessories from power supplies to remote control cars. The fans we tested in this article are all quite good and made from high quality materials. While they may not be the most powerful fans you can buy they do offer a good balance between cooling performance and overall noise.
The Pro Series fans are quite impressive and offer, in a single fan, many of the things modders look for to increase cooling performance. The first is the inverted design that positions the fan away from the cooling surface. This reduces fan noise and increases airflow in situations where you have a perforated fan opening. The motor is also on rubber noise isolators to prevent vibration noise. If you choose the PWM fan option you'll get the added benefit of PST (PWM Sharing Technology) so you can add PWM control to other cases in your system.
Sadly the only downside to the Pro series fans is in safety. Due to the inverted design the mounting cage doesn't provide adequate protection from nearby cables and fingers leading to the possibility of cable related accidents and/or blood if you get too close.
