The Cosmos II comes with three external 5.25" drive bays and features two very unique external 3.5" hot-plug hard drive bays. Not only are they lockable but also operate as a trayless drive system allowing you to simply open the door and slide your drive in. Springs at the back of the bay help to remove the drive once the door has been opened.
Inside the case you will find more hard drive storage bays in two different cooling zones. In the upper zone under the external drive bays you'll find five hard drive bays with removable hard drive trays. These are a variation of the simple plastic tray Cooler Master has used on previous case designs with the addition that they work like a traditional hot-swap drive system, without the swappers.
In the lower cooling zone we have another six hard drive positions complete with a dual fan cross flow cooling system.
Almost every modern computer case has the PSU located at the bottom of the chassis, not only does this provide better overall cooling but tends to help with cable management when it comes time to wire everything up.

Due to the bottom mounted hard drive bays and the tendency for 1200w+ PSUs to be quite long there is a short one inch removable extension to make installing the PSU a little easier and give you a little more room for wires. The PSU sits on a gasket material to soften any vibrations and while there is a filtered fresh air intake at the bottom of the case the plenum under this gasket ensures that the PSU isn't pulling directly from the outside.
