    Show Notes

This episode is a little different.  First of all it is a trip highlight of what Dennis saw at Computex 2018 and instead of going booth by booth we dive in to hear about the items that made a lasting impression.  The show is also recorded a little more causal starting with adult drinks featuring Kavalan Whiskey on the patio instead of in the studio.  So there will be some ambient noise including birds and a few random cars driving by.

The show starts with an overall look at Computex and what has changed over the years.  Dennis has mentioned many times about how there isn’t much reason to attend Computex and the sheer lack of US media (not counting Techtubers) at the show reinforces that fact.  Some of that can be attributed to the lack of real product launches at the show and a decline in the PC market as a whole.

That is not to detract from what was at the show including new ways to control RGB LEDs, new gaming motherboards based on the X399 chipset and Threadripper CPU and maybe one of the best PC cases you’ll be able to buy.

This episode doesn’t cover everything about Computex 2018 so be sure to check out the Hardware Asylum show coverage from the show which includes things like robot LN2 overclocking, and some crazy RGB LED memory.
