Author: Darren McCainIntroduction
G.Skill has really come out of the gates swinging with their RipJaws line of gaming peripherals. Today we will be looking at their premier gaming headphones, the G.Skill Ripjaws SR910 Real 7.1 Gaming Headset.
The G.Skill Ripjaws SR910 Real 7.1 Gaming Headset features 10 discrete neodymium drivers and a dual-mic noise cancellation ENC microphone. Both are welcome sights in a crowded market full of surround sound headphones. Traditionally the use of multiple drivers at a competitive price point means compromise. Let’s find out if the G.Skill Ripjaws SR910 Real 7.1 Gaming Headset should be in your short list!
There are two headsets in the G.Skill Ripjaws line the SR910 and this little brother the Ripjaws SV710 - Virtual 7.1 Headset. While the cheaper SV710 headset is a virtual 7.1 headset it does use certified Dolby Pro Logic IIx technology to drive dual 50mm neodymium audio drivers for potentially more range.
Both headsets are designed in an attractive black with red accents that has proven to be the theme for the entire Ripjaws line. If the red accents were not enough they both feature the eye-catching red light up G.Skill logo on the ears.
Lets take a closer look at the SR910.
