Majority D40X Bookshelf Speaker Review

Powered speakers tend to be a bit bulky for desktop use and PC speakers always feel a bit anemic! But with a size of 17.9 x 13.7 x 22.3 cm (7.05 x 5.39 x 18.78 inches), the D40X speakers hit a sort of Goldilocks zone. Not to big and not too small.
Its hard to miss those 4-inch yellow Kevlar dynamic bass drivers! A Rigid Kevlar driver provides exceptional accuracy through their ability to reduce dampening for improved audio signal. Of course, you also have a crisp set of tweeters to help with the highs.
Connectivity and control options are located on the back and right side of the Right speaker enclosure. A good bass port can be found on the back of both enclosures to help produce more accurate bass tone.
A closer look at the back panel reveals: The satellite connection (left Speaker), an optical input, AUX input, a Micro SD card slot, a USB slot, the power toggle and the power plug.
On the side we find: A mode toggle, Volume adjustments, a headphone jack and the mode indicator light. I do miss a true RCA port set but an adapter cable is included. The D40X should have a connection option for just about anything.
As with the Majority Teton Soundbar, most of the functionality is found on the remote. The remote adds multimedia controls and bass/treble fine tuning alongside the usual buttons. The IR port for control is barely visible above the right tweeter!
Also include in the box are a simple User Manual and cables for AUX input, the previously mentioned 3.5mm to RCA adapter, a Power Cable, and an Optical Cable.
