Getting back to overall comfort and styling the H7 features an oval shaped over ear design. In the center is a full range 50mm driver and is also uniquely tilted to create a mini acoustic chamber to minimize resonance within the earcups.
Simply put, they have positioned the speaker to better match the profile of your ear to give you more direct sound into your ear holes.
The area behind the speaker is also large and sealed to better enhance bass response when paired with a headphone amplifier like the Creative BlasterX G5.
Audio inputs are handled in two ways. The first is a 4-pole 3.5mm cable with inline controls for volume, microphone mute and play, which can also answer your mobile phone. The second is over USB allowing you to access the BlasterX Acoustic Engine Pro software and the unique X-Plus program that can flash the H7 with an audio profile you prefer for use on gaming consoles like the Xbox One and PlayStation 4
Along with the headset you will get two sets of braided cables including a 4-pole audio extension and standard USB.
The removable boom mic features a noise reduction feature so that your voice can be heard clearly even in a noisy room. It does with this two microphone inputs which are both shielded by a foam windsock. The mircphone itself can be moved into any position for the best clarity.
Both of the audio connections are styled such that when connected to the headset they look to be a part of the design. This might be a minor detail but speaks to their attention to detail when designing the BlasterX Gaming Headsets.
