    Introduction

With the Desktop PC changing so does the landscape of the internal components.  We have started to see new motherboard designs get released and while many boutique and custom gaming PC builders are limited to using only full sized ATX components the DIY system builder is still free to do whatever they like.

In this review we will be looking at a new SFX power supply design from Thermaltake called the Toughpower SFX.  This new power supply is fully ATX 3.1 compliant and available in three power configurations, 750w, 850w and 1000w.  They are all 80 Plus Platinum rated and come with native PCI Express 12v-2x6 connectors.
