Benchmarks - Synthetic
AIDA64 offers dedicated set of microbenchmarks to test things from Memory bandwidth to GPU and FPU performance. This will give us a basic idea of what a system is capable of. We have selected CPU ZLib and CPU AES to test throughput while CPU PhotoWorxx will test basic multimedia performance.

Synthetic performance never really tells the entire story, but is a good indication of what the system would probably be capable of doing under the right conditions. Sadly, my core benchmark for this section, SiSoft Sandra has not been updated for newer processors forcing me to make a change. AIDA64 is a nice replacement that I have typically used exclusively for memory tests but has a rather rich set of CPU benchmarks to choose from.
As we get more motherboards flowing through the database will get flushed out more, until then you'll just have to use your imagination.
I also have typically included an audio benchmark but, sadly that one no longer works with Windows 11 and/or the new USB based onboard audio solutions that everyone seems to be using.
