    Multi GPU Index

The Ninjalane Multi-GPU index is a portable set of data we can use to determine the multi-gpu potential of any motherboard.  A higher index number indicates a favorable condition for multiple graphics cards while a lower number indicates a hindrance in one of our leading indicators.  Since the Index is not dependent on system architecture it can be applied to any motherboard regardless of processor or chipset generations.

    AMD CrossfireX
As indicated by the PCI Express layout chart there are a total of two 16x PCI Express slots on this motherboard.  Slot two is your primary video card slot and will run at a full 16x when only a single card is installed.  Slot Five will accept 16x video cards but is hardwired to 4x using bandwidth from the A88X chipset.  While you can technically install a video card here its usefulness is somewhat limited.  The primary dual video card scenario isn't with two discrete graphics cards but rather a hybrid Crossfire with an A series APU and a supported Radeon video card.

For best video performance you will want to populate slot two with a video card.  For proper CrossfireX you'll  need a HD 77xx graphics card and the supported drivers.  If you happen to be using any other AMD GPU you can follow the normal Crossfire procedure using slots two and five.
