GSKill RipjawsX PC3 17000 CL9 Memory Review

As with all of our reviews we pit the default speed system against the overclocked one in a head to head byte match. The results of this are below. The effective overclock here is 3.65Ghz with a BCLK of 104.3Mhz for a resulting memory clock of 2225Mhz.  That is a modest overclock of 92Mhz over the rated speed.

Low voltage modules such as these are primarily designed to save power while still providing excellent performance.  As overclockers we look at the lower rated voltage and assume that adding some more juice will give us more overclocking headroom.  While this is true we discovered that at 2133Mhz  the timings could not be adjusted but with the additional voltage you could run them at 2300Mhz without any problems. 

Assuming your processor will run that fast this is a great boost in overall performance.
