    Introduction

When Alder Lake launched in 2021 it brought with it a variety of new technologies and concepts.  The processor itself was a hybrid design which divided the CPU into efficiency and performance cores in a bid to increase performance and be more power efficient.  This launch also changed the concept of the HEDT by delivering workstation class performance without needing elaborate system configurations.

In this review we will be looking at the second DDR5 memory release from Crucial that has extended the upper frequency limits of their base modules to include 5200Mhz and 5600Mhz.  Everything else about the memory is virtually identical with module densities limited to 16GB at the 5600Mhz speeds and larger densities available at the slower 5200Mhz

    The New DDR5 Standard

As was mentioned before Alder Lake brought a new DDR memory standard designed to handle the memory demands of modern systems and the new processor architecture.  Raptor Lake builds on this architecture by offering a more efficient memory controller for better performance.
