    Yeyian Shift Layout and Features

The Shift mouse has a low profile and is targeted at those that prefer a right-handed Palm or Claw grip.  The low profile feels similar to the Razer shape and I would describe this mouse as being small-medium sized.

There are a total of six buttons available including the tactile mouse wheel and a polling rate button on the bottom surface.  Huano switches are used for added durability with a rated 5,000,000 clicks making it most likely a Blue Dot.  All of the buttons feel crisp and the mouse wheel has a nice tactile feel to it.

An open honeycomb design provides venting and reduces weight.  In fact, at 82g or 113g including the cable, this may be the lightest wireless mouse I have ever used and that’s with the 2g dongle on board. The black surfaces provide a nice contrast but are smooth to the touch. The addition of the side venting provides a more grippy feel where you need it.

The bottom side is dominated by the two large Teflon feet providing stability across multiple surface types. The switch to the left of the sensor toggles between Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4GHz wireless modes. The switch on the right turns the mouse off.

Connectivity comes via a 5.57-foot USB 3.0 cable sleeved in a black braided weave with a rubber cable tie. An adapter is included for older USB 2.0 ports.

The Shift offers a lot of customization options. The most obvious is the ability to take the top shell off and replace it with a vented shell that matches their Links Series 3000 Mouse. This shell provides more airflow and makes the internal Yeyian logo lighting visible.

Removing the back also reveals the onboard storage for the wireless dongle. This dongle is quite small and adds almost no weight to the mouse.

With the back off it is pretty easy to snap off the front of the shell. Using the included removal tool, you can easily replace the switches to toggle between the HUANO and the Kailh GM8.0 switches. This is a pretty cool option to change the feel of your clicks and extend the life of your mouse.

I am not sure if this practice will be popular enough to make aftermarket switches a thing, like keyboards, but it is a feature I hope to see other manufacturers picking up!

RGB lighting is included with the Yeyian logo inside the mouse and with lighting around the bottom of the mouse.  The scroll wheel also lights up.

As you can see, the accent lighting only goes part of the way around the bottom and the individual lights have pretty clear separation. Both the scroll wheel and the logo lighting cannot be changed forcing you to have a blue scroll wheel and a green logo.
