75% Gasket Structure Hot-swappable Wired & Wireless Mechanical Keyboard
Our last keyboard is also our largest; the Epomaker Galaxy70. The Galaxy70 is a compact 75% TKL design that is housed in a full Aluminum alloy shell. This is also the heaviest of our keyboard lineup due to that metal case and the robust 4000mAh battery.
The Galaxy70 is the latest entry in the Galaxy line designed to be more durable than standard plastic keyboards. Our keyboard is the gray option with other models in a blue fade or the more traditional black. Much like the RT80, the color scheme is similar to Noctua colors with a pleasing gray around the perimeter to soften the look.
With a size of 350.6 x 140.9 x 32.5mm (~13.78 x 5.55 x 1.28 inches) and a trim weight of approximately 1.79kg this is also the heaviest keyboard we have today! Including a 4000mAh battery keeps the weigh from getting out of hand.

Epomaker has pulled out all the stops to offer a premium TKL experience. The Aluminum shell is covered by a durable electrostatic powder coating. Other premium upgrades including PORON sandwich foam, IXPE switch pad, PET acoustic pad, EMDP switch foam, and a PET bottom pad. This thing just feels solid.
The Galaxy70 has a very traditional 75% design looking every bit like only the tenkey was removed on the left side. It features a QWERT ANSI layout and 82 keys plus the knob. South-facing RGB backlighting provides a nice accent
The right side is where all of the shrinking magic happens. This 75% layout with home clusters and knob configuration is one Epomaker’s most popular options, further optimizing space by removing the numpad while retaining essential keys.
In addition to the metal knob, the USB receiver is hidden on the right side under a magnetic cover. Be warned, this thing is pretty easy to lose! Removing the cover lets the receiver pop up like magic for easy retrieval and use.
Also included with the Galaxy70 are the User’s manual, a matching USB C cable, a simple key caps tool, two extra switches and two option key caps.
One excellent reason to acquire the Galaxy70 is for the Hot swapable PCB. The keyboard can be ordered with your choice of the Epomaker Zebra Switch or HUANO Blossom Odyssey Switch. Compatibility with all 3/5 pin mechanical switches makes the Galaxy70 a compelling base for upgrading to a custom PCB set down the road. The keycaps are ergonomic Cherry profile making them easy to update/customize as well.
Our Galaxy 70 came equipped with the same EPMO Zebra Switch a Linear Type with a POM Stem. The black and white switches definitely make that easy to remember! If you choose the HUANO Blossom Odyssey Switch, you will get a pastel pink and white factory lubed Linear switches. These switches are also MX Compatible.

The Galaxy70 uses its own software suite. We installed Driver Version: Beta V.1.0.0.0 for this review. Minty fresh!
As before, I won’t go into a lot of detail for this roundup but the above screenshots should give you a good idea of what to expect. Configuration is quite mature and split across eight primary screens: home, My Exclusive Config, Macro Manager, Lighting mode, User lighting, Real-time Lighting, Music Rhythm, and System Settings.
So many Lighting options! The second screen shows the Lighting Mode tab exclusive to these keyboards. This is one of the many screens where you can configure your lighting allowing for some amazing backlighting effects! You can even sync your lighting with music. Keep in mind this is the Beta build; your mileage may vary.
The Epomaker Galaxy70 keyboard just feels great! Build quality is top notch and the all-aluminum shell provides a satisfying, deep thunk noise when typing. The focus on lighting is nice for customization but would be more visible on a different colored option. Overall, the Galaxy70 inspires confidence. Confidence in materials and confidence in customization options.
For a sub $100 (US) keyboard, this feels like a homerun! Solid, traditional and ready to take a beating!
