SilverStone IceMyst 420 AIO Watercooling Review
Author: Dennis GarciaIceMyst 420 Pumpblock
The iceMyst 420 pump block features a large slightly convex copper baseplate to better match current processor heatspreaders while the pump uses a three phase six pole motor for silent and efficient operation with a maximum speed of 3100 rpm when set to run at full speed. Under normal operation this pump will respond to loading signals from the motherboard headers.
When you remove the top cover, it will expose a single 8-pin header similar to the ones found on the 140mm fans. This header allows you to install additional ARGB cooling modules.
These modules, the IMF70 ARGB, are 70mm proprietary upgrade kids for the iceMyst series of all-in-one liquid coolers featuring a modular design with an option to spin up to 320 degrees to cool hot spots around the CPU.
The 70mm ARGB fan will run between 500 - 2800 RPM with a maximum airflow of 17 CFM when running at full speed. These fans can be controlled independently from the rest of the iceMyst system while still offering a full ARGB lighting sync, either using onboard controllers or, any standalone digital RGB control module.
SilverStone sent over two IMF70 ARGB modules for this review with no practical limit to how many can be installed on the iceMyst pump blocks.
