    Fan Layout and Features

Fan specs on the previous page read almost identical until you get down to Rotational Speed.  The FLX fan is the performance product and will spin at 1200 rpm while pushing close to 115m3/h (68 CFM) at 19dBA.
Looking at the ULN (Ultra Low Noise) fan we can see that this fan picks up where the FLX leaves off when coupled with the noise adaptors.  The ULN fan spins at 800 rpm while pushing 80m3/h (47 CFM) at 11.9dBA.  These numbers are reduced even further once the noise adaptor has been activated.
As computer enthusiasts we can fully respect fan performance but rarely consider noise as a driving factor in our decisions.  Considering that the FLX fan only moves around 68 CFM it can be a hard purchase to justify unless you consider overall efficiency.  As it stands we are hard pressed to find a similar fan that can do any better.

With each NF-A14 you'll get the following
    • Low-Noise Adaptor (L.N.A.)
    • Ultra-Low-Noise Adaptor (On FLX Models)
    • 3:4-Pin Adaptor
    • 30cm Extension Cable
    • 4 Vibration-Compensators
    • 4 Fan Screws
As was mentioned before all Noctua fans come with a low noise adaptor designed to reduce overall RPMs.  Thing is you may never need it since running these fans at full speed isn't loud at all.
