    Case Layout and Features

Despite the new layout the Thermaltake CTE C750TG is rather typical looking case featuring tempered glass panels along the front and side of the case.  Every one of the exposed edges is a plastic façade to provide depth and texture to this extremely square chassis.

Turning the case around you will find a solid metal side panel with two areas cut out for venting.  The pattern is a simple rectangle which is also repeated throughout the chassis design.

For instance, you’ll find the pattern repeated across the top panel which serves as a cover for the I/O cables and primary cooling exhaust.

To the right, you’ll find the front panel connections consisting of four USB 3.0 ports, a Type C connector, audio connections and a power and reset button.

As mentioned before, each of the panels are a plastic facade including this interesting corner at the back of the chassis.  Considering how many panels there are it is nice to see how well they fit together offering a seamless flow between plastic and metal.

One reason for the extensive plastic bits is to offer and inexpensive way to create depth in a design.  You’ll see this at the front of the case where air passages are created behind the glass panel and at the top of the chassis you are given room to route your I/O cables.

The top panel is comprised of a decorative metal panel followed by a removable mesh filter.  Under that is the plastic bezel allowing it all to fit together.

Similar panels can be found at the front and back of the case helping to complete the classic and completely unoriginal “square” chassis design

You will only find two tempered glass panels on the CTE C750TG making it a nice change from the glass monsters we have been seeing.  Both panels feature bonded metal latches used to secure the glass to the chassis and are ever so slightly shaded.  I know we like glass because it shows off everything but, I feel that tinted glass is more elegant and helps to enhance your viewing pleasure of your masterpiece of LEDs and water.
