Silverstone Raven RVZ02 Mini ITX Case Review

The power supply installs next to the motherboard and is also on the direct opposite of the external power plug. While this may seem strange it allows the case design to work without any strange disruptions. Just remember to plug in the internal extension cable.
Speaking of power supply the Raven RVZ02 REQUIRES that you use a SFX or SFX-L PSU. The SFX form factor is similar to a standard ATX PSU but has been shrunken down. As a result they do offer less wattage which isn’t a problem with a modern SFF PC. To give you an idea as to the size difference we have placed a Thermaltake Grand next to a Silverstone SFX-L Series 500w. The Silverstone SFX-L is 80 Plus Gold rated and fully modular making it a perfect builder PSU.
The 80 Plus Gold rating and 120mm fan ensures it will run cool and with enough power to support a high end graphics card like the nVidia GTX 960.
Despite the RVZ02 being a SLIM type case you are given a good number of storage options including two 2.5” SSD trays located on the panel near the motherboard tray and an optional drive location next to the video card.
A single external SLIM optical drive can be installed at the top of the case and will support the standard 12.7mm and 9.5mm drives depending on tray type.
