Silverstone Raven RVZ01 Mini-ITX Case Review

Silverstone has been a strong proponent of positive air pressure cooling to not only keep a case properly cooled but also prevent excess dust acumination.   The RVZ01 is designed for positive air pressure and does so with two slim 120mm fans.  These fans spin around 1500rpm and are of the 3-pin variety with the lack of PWM control. 

The nice thing about positive air pressure is that it works when the case is either vertical or horizontal and Silverstone includes rubber feet for both situations.

If you plan to have this case sitting vertical you will install the molded rubber feet into the plastic panel such that the fan openings at the bottom and in the following configuration.  If having a desktop is more your style the ball style sticky feet would be your solution.

A Raven emblem is also included so the logo can always be horizontal to the ground.

Positive air pressure may prevent dust from acuminating in your case but it doesn’t stop it completely.  For dustaphobes these fine mesh magnetic fan grills work extremely well and are easily cleaned.
