    Case Interior

With the side panels removed you can see the SB 800 has chosen a pretty traditional layout.  The interior is finished in matching black with orange accents provided by the cable run grommets and drive mounts.  All of the cables are sensibly sleeved in black with plenty of room for cable management using the provided cable ties.

A pretty nice manual is provided along with the following accessories.

    • M3 HDD screws (pcs.)28
    • M3 x 8 Flat head screws (pcs.)16

    • M3 x 5 Round head screws (pcs.)6
    • #6-32 Hex head screws (pcs.)4
    • Rubber rail (pcs.)14
    • Standoff (pcs.)2
    • Cable tie long (pcs.)2

You can access the front 140mm fans buy popping the front panel completely off.  This gives a clear look at the anti-vibration mounts color matched to the case.  This panel free look reminds me of the tech frames found on the bench her in the lab.  Or the naked bike movement if you’re a motorcycle fan.

This configuration gives a better look at the bottom air channels too.  The three air channels make it possible to run an additional 120 or 140mm fan in front of the power supply by feeding both a source of fresh air.  With the feet on it would be tempting to increase airflow with some modded venting especially if a fan is used there.

A pull out tray contains a dust filter for your power supply up to 290mm or 160mm in the fan down configuration.  Padding is provided to hold the power supply in place.  Where the top is more of a skeleton in its design, the bottom surface is a traditional mesh over the air channels.

The back view reveals the large color matched cable slots below an oversized window.  An unexpected feature is the set of removable 2.5” drive mounts on the back of the motherboard tray.  This may limit cable runs but I love having the option to run a setup with no hard drive tray in the case.

Both drive cages can be removed individually using thumb screws.  The cages are nicely spaced and should provide good air flow from the two front fans.  3.5” drives are mounted using the soft orange drive rails.  It’s a nice combination of vibration reduction and ease of installation.

With the drive cages out, you can see the 2.5” drive mounts in the top of each cage.  These locations are direct mounts and require removing the cages to access.
