In Win 901 Mini-ITX Case Review

The 901 sure makes for a striking profile. That Aluminum one piece frame is a solid 4mm thick with nicely beveled edges. In Win calls the brush work a hairline texture.
Each of the glass side panels is both tinted and tempered. A set of four rubber mounts holds each piece firmly in place and helps keep vibration down. The lower front section is actually open completely through the case. Two solid rubber feet running the width of the case provide sure footing on any smooth surface.
On interesting effect of the tinted panels is the ability to conceal your components limo style when no internal lighting is used. Adding lighting can provide a nice shadow box effect when running that looks sweet! I can’t help but think some custom black lighting would really make things pop!
The standard external ports and switches have been relocated to the left side above the front opening. The four ports are a set of USB 3.0 ports, the standard pair of HD audio ports and a power switch. In a nod to newer operating systems there is no reset switch available.
Negative space serves two purposes. It allows the optional front 120mm fan to pull air up and into the case. The space also allows for a slim optical drive to open towards the front and still be mounted inside the chassis. Ports are already in place to allow for simple push in installation.
The back is pretty Spartan at first glance. The bottom mounted power supply and a removable bezel keep the usual back of the case clutter out of view to continue the clean look.
