    Case Interior and Cooling

With the panels removed we can get a really good look inside and, there isn’t much.  The overall layout is following the currently accepted standards and supports a variety of different motherboards up to E-ATX along with the new reversable motherboard designs from ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI.

Instead of having cooling on the front panel the fans have been moved to the back allowing you to install up to a 360mm radiator and any number of ARGB fans you choose.  The Corsair 3500X iCUE Link comes with a 3-pack set of iCUE Link RX120 RGB fans.  We reviewed these not too long ago and found them to be quite nice and very versatile.

Speaking of fans, the Corsair 3500X supports a total of 10 fans across every one of the vented surfaces.  For those looking to get the maximum RGB effect this might be a good configuration.

You will notice to complete the “Corner Office” look the front most vertical pilar has been removed.  This does make the chassis flex a bit but, only when everything has been removed

Turning the case around you will find a single Corsair iCUE control module located behind the motherboard try with all of the wires being carefully routed together with the main front panel harness.  The nice thing about the LINK fans is the single wire hookup that can not only control all of the fans and lights but makes routing cables super easy.

Across the top you will find places to hold up to 3x 120mm or 2x 140mm fans and their associated radiators.

What is most interesting about the Corsair 3500X is storage support.  Gone are 3.5” hard drive racks, no external 5.25” drive bays leaving you with this single plate mounted to the motherboard tray.  This single panel is a combo unit supporting a total of four drives!

2x 2.5” SSDs are installed between the plate and the motherboard tray while you can surface mount 2x 3.5” drives to the opposite side making this little bit of metal quite universal.
