Case Layout and Features
I am not usually a fan of doors and a left side hinge is a double whammy for my case location. In this case, access to the front bays is made easier by a double hinge system on the door which allows the door to open completely (270°) and come to rest against the side. This is a feature we don't often see on cases and helps to eliminate any disadvantage to having a case with a door. The front door is coated with a layer of sound deadening material to help dampen drive noise and any sound generated by the two optional 120 mm front intake fans.
Both front fan locations are hidden behind the honeycomb mesh filter. This easy to clean filter is easy to remove and provides a direct access to the fan mounts. I installed a set of 120mm AcoustiFans and found nearly ½ inch of space in front of the fans though getting to the fan screws is a bit challenging.
Power and reset buttons are located on the top surface and are tactile enough to offer touch control. Above the door, the P280 offers 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports and a set of audio In/Out ports. The USB 3.0 ports are on an internal connector for modern motherboards.

Fan control for the three included 120 mm fans can be found on the back panel which is powered by a single Molex connection. The control allows fans to be individually set to low or high by the flip of a switch. A fourth controller switch is plumbed but not supported by a switch leaving behind an empty hole. It's a puzzling decision on the otherwise clean exterior that leaves me wondering why it was excluded.
