Varonis Extends FireEye Threat Analytics Platform to Protect File Data Before Cyber Attacks Materialize
NEW YORK, Oct. 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Varonis Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:VRNS), the leading provider of software solutions for unstructured, human-generated enterprise data, today announced the interoperability of its DatAdvantage and DatAlert solutions with the FireEye® Threat Analytics Platform™ (TAP™).
The interoperable solutions from this new technology alliance will be showcased at the FireEye Cyber Defense Summit, taking place October 12-14 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC, and via a live webinar at 2:00 PM ET on October 28. (For more details see below, or click here.)
Protecting the Most Valuable Data
With the interoperability of Varonis and FireEye TAP, customers can now gain unprecedented intelligence in the realm of unstructured data. Organizations store massive quantities of this data – such as files, emails, spreadsheets, and presentations – and it comprises some of their most valuable and sensitive information assets. These assets are frequently exposed or stolen in high-profile breaches, either by insiders who abuse their access or by outsiders who compromise insiders' credentials. Varonis has helped thousands of customers protect their unstructured data, through analyzing user activity with files and emails, permissions and file system metadata, as well as file content.
Gareth Maclachlan, FireEye Vice President Product Management said, "FireEye's Threat Analytics Platform accelerates detection and investigation of cyber-attacks by correlating events from a wide range of devices and locations and applying threat intelligence to pinpoint critical threats— including the hunt for threat indicators within unstructured data sources. By integrating with FireEye to identify anomalous data activity, Varonis is providing its customers with valuable insight into the security of their high value information."
Users will now be able to easily send alerts from Varonis DatAdvantage and DatAlert into FireEye TAP, and begin identifying statistically unusual user behavior surrounding this data. Anomalous activity could include mass deletions and modifications, malware and ransomware infections like CryptoLocker and Cryptowall, privilege escalations, unusual access to PII, multiple failed login attempts, and many more potential warning signs. Installation of Varonis DatAdvantage and DatAlert can take as little as one hour, and connection to FireEye TAP is as simple as configuring an IP address.
David Gibson, Varonis Vice President of Strategy and Market Development, said, "Hackers are getting better at their jobs, and therefore today's threat intelligence equation needs to combine several technologies. With the new interoperability, customers can combine critical security insight from FireEye with Varonis intelligence about their unstructured data – the type of data they typically have the most of and know the least about. Varonis and FireEye TAP can help organizations proactively spot the warning signs before they end up in the news because of a data breach."
Live, Complimentary Webinar (October 28 at 2:00 PM ET): How Varonis and FireEye Have Joined Forces to Stop Insider Threats
Join this webinar to learn:
- Best practices to reduce potential exposure and prevent internal threats
- How Varonis shows access to unstructured data across all platforms and recommends remediations
- How Varonis DatAlert can detect:
- Mass deletions and modifications

Net Health Marks Its Sixth Appearance and Highest Ranking Yet on Inc. 5000 List
PITTSBURGH, Oct. 7, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Net Health, the leader in software solutions for specialized outpatient care, was named by Inc. magazine as one of the fastest growing private companies in America. Net Health exhibited a revenue growth of 237% and added 171 new jobs from 2011-2014.
Net Health Chairman and CEO, Anthony Sanzo, explains why the company has enjoyed fertile ground for growth. "With our focus on specialized outpatient care, we're known for products and solutions that are perfectly fitted to our clients' needs, needs that are typically overlooked by the one-size-fits-all approach offered by large and entrenched healthcare information technology (HIT) vendors."
Ranking #1712, Net Health claims its highest spot yet on the Inc. 5000, a list it has had the fortune of appearing on five previous years.
According to Sanzo, the reason for this long-time showing on the list is that Net Health targets expansion into areas not well served by more generalized HIT solutions. "In the last three years Net Health grew from roughly 50 employees to nearly 250. Over the same period the scope of our clinical, administrative, and financial IT solutions expanded significantly—broadening the draw of our client base from one medical specialty market to the five now served: Hospital Employee Health, Occupational Medicine, Rehab Therapy, Urgent Care, and Wound Care."
Net Health was recently named a Best Place to Work in Western Pennsylvania and has been recognized by Modern Healthcare magazine as one of the Best Places to Work in Healthcare, nationally. Sanzo speaks to corporate culture as a factor that sets the company apart. "We're committed to providing a workplace and culture that is a compelling differentiator. This serves us to continually attract and retain interesting and qualified team members."
About Net HealthNet Health is the leader in software solutions for specialized outpatient care. Known for being experts in The Art of the Right Fit®, fully interoperable EHR solutions serve five medical specialty markets. Offering clients an end-to-end solution that includes practice management tools, clinical workflow documentation, revenue cycle management, and analytics, Net Health serves healthcare professionals in 3,000 urgent care, wound care, physical therapy, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, occupational medicine, employee health, and workplace medicine facilities. PLEASANTON, Calif., Oct. 6, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Adept Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:ADEP), a leading provider of intelligent robots, autonomous mobile robot solutions and services, has introduced two new additions to its Viper family of 6-axis articulated robots -- the Viper 700 and Viper 900. These are the first in a series of new 6-axis robots from Adept that will include additional reach and payload capabilities. The Viper 700 and Viper 900 models offer the versatility of a large working area with the convenience of a streamlined, compact architecture, making them ideal for assembly, material handling and machine tending applications. Adept is debuting the new Viper models this week at the Motek trade show in Stuttgart, Germany.
"With the introduction of Viper 700 and Viper 900, Adept continues to grow its strong portfolio of industrial robots for small parts handling, and provide customers with the latest innovations in robotics performance and ease of use," said Yan Banducci, Adept senior product line manager for Industrial Robots. "Offering a large workspace, a slim design with simple cabling, compact controls and more, the new Vipers are tailor-made for demanding industrial assembly environments. These new robots offer tremendous value, and come standard with features such as an IP67 rating, integrated solenoid valves, and powerful off-line programming and emulation software."
The Viper 700 and Viper 900 offer fast, precise arm movements with a maximum reach of 723 mm and 912 mm, respectively. They accommodate payloads up to 7 kg. Other key features include:
- A slim robotic arm design that minimizes the space required for work cells.
- An IP67 rating standard on both models, and corrosion-resistant materials for easy wash down.
- Powerful controls embedded into an amplifier approximately half the size of competitive robot amplifiers, saving floor space and reducing installation cost and complexity.
- A hollow wrist that streamlines cabling to the end-of-arm tooling, minimizing risks associated with brushing cables against other objects in the workspace.
To enable rapid deployment, Viper 700 and Viper 900 robots are equipped with Adept ACE software, a unique tool offering a friendly point-and-click application development environment to allow offline programming, 3D process emulation, and optional vision guidance and conveyor tracking integration. Other system options include Adept's industry-leading SmartVision MX vision processing platform and high-resolution cameras for machine vision and guidance, and Intelligent Force Sensing for precision assembly applications.
The Motek trade show in Stuttgart runs October 5-8, 2015. The Adept booth is #7410 in hall 7. Along with the new Viper models, Adept is showing its recently launched eCobra 800 robot, part of a new generation of 4-axis robots featuring advanced SCARA robotics and a unique controller-less architecture.
