ORTEC TECHNOLOGY INNOVATIONS RECOGNIZED IN GARTNER'S MARKET GUIDE FOR VEHICLE ROUTING AND SCHEDULING
ATLANTA, Dec. 3, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ORTEC has received recognition from Gartner in the Market Guide for Vehicle Routing and Scheduling for ORTEC Routing and ORTEC Routing for SAP. Gartner announced that "vehicle routing and scheduling is a mature market, going back over 25 years. The market is in transition, with new, more-robust, more-flexible and broader solutions emerging. While most midsize to large fleets have likely had solutions in place for over a decade, emerging VRS solutions have new capabilities that will enhance fleet operations, and this evolution is leading to a replacement market." (1)
According to Bart De Muynck, author of Gartner's Market Guide for Vehicle Routing and Scheduling, "The market's vendors are not only offering vehicle routing software, but also related services such as transportation modeling, load building and real-time visibility." Gartner recommends reviewing vendors for functionality offered, industries covered and geographical presence when assessing VRS solutions." ORTEC meets all functionality requirements in Gartner's assessment.
"Analysts, academics and business chiefs all recognize that supply chain leaders must merge the "science" of supply chain technologies with the "art" of processes, talent and metrics," stated ORTEC Executive Partner Bobby Miller. "We are proud to deliver measurable business value by understanding specific industries business processes and providing our industry expertise, which is unmatched."
In the 2015 Market Guide for Vehicle Routing and Scheduling, ORTEC delivers in every category and every box measured by Gartner including functionality, platform, geographic presence and industry coverage.
Gartner's Market Recommendations- Look into emerging VRS capabilities and investigate the opportunity for adoption or replacement.
- Fully assess your requirements, especially in the areas of route optimization, because this will narrow down the specific vendors to consider.
- Review vendors for functionality offered, industries covered and geographical presence when assessing VRS solutions.
- Consider additional capabilities offered by the vendors to increase route planning and execution efficiencies, and improve customer service. The current capacity crunch in the transportation industry and productivity challenges fleets are facing due to new regulations require companies to find new ways to operate more efficiently. Technology is one way to address these challenges and contribute to a more efficient fleet operation.
Marketplace Demands Real-time Transparency and Flexibility
"We recognize that the industry is moving away from siloed thinking and embracing the opportunities of integrated routing, load building, and inventory management," stated Goos Kant, ORTEC Senior Director for Industry Solutions. "There is tremendous need for real-time transparency and flexibility, e.g., by sharing up-to-date delivery information towards both customers and management, to improve service and optimize the end-to-end supply chain. We are honored that Gartner has recognized ORTEC for in the Market Guide for our vehicle routing and scheduling technology and in the July 2015 Hype Cycle for Supply Chain Execution as a Sample Vendor in the Real-Time (Mobile-Synchronized) Route Optimization category."

How to remove the Windows 10 GWX.exe Icon
This might be the best bit of googling I have ever done.
Now don't get me wrong Windows 10 is pretty darn cool and supports DX12 along with some other things. Thing is while I have Windows 10 on the Hardware Asylum Podcast machine I'm happy with Windows 7 on my main machine and have no intention of upgrading.
Of course now, how do I get rid of that pesky annoyance icon?
The basic steps are to
- Kill the GWX.exe process
- Take ownership of the GWX folder
- Give yourself full permissions
- Rename the folder and .exe files (I used .old for the folder and .bak for the executables)
- Use Regedit to remove the tasks so they won't start.
- Do Not uninstall the update as that is the trigger to reinstall it.
Now, we will have a tutorial explaining how you can disable this diarrhea, and get back control over your system. Then we will go into a few more reasons why Windows 10 has just become an undesired piece of software. Thank you, Microsoft, that's a delectable move on your end. To business, then.
The article is filled with Microsoft hate and a middle finger at the end but, so far the process has worked and that little icon is gone.
Now back to the reviews.

G.SKILL RIPJAWS KM780 RGB Keyboard Review @ Legit Reviews
Keyboards seem to see be popular and the Ripjaws KM780 is a new unit I got to see at Computex with a ful RGB set of lights under the keyboard.
Memory manufacture G.SKILL has entered the keyboard market with a high-end RGB mechanical keyboard called the RIPJAWS KM780. There are some curious similarities to Corsair’s K70 and K95 keyboards most notably in the exposed metal backplate, use of Cherry switches, and that both companies are major players in the enthusiast memory market. At the same time, G.SKILL had a vastly different approach with its keyboard and we notice bits and pieces of the features from other mechanical keyboards being brought together with this one. We’re not sure if the KM780 keyboard is supposed to look like a RAM module with the heatspreader, but it does use the same RIPJAWS name from one of G.SKILL’s memory product lines.
I forget exactly what the sliding light bar does but I think it was related to controlling audio volume or light intensity. You might have to check out the review to know for sure.

Ohio website developer with office in Charlotte partners with Spartanburg area schools
COLUMBUS, Ohio, Dec. 2, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Website creator from Buckeye state with office in Charlotte pairs with Spartanburg area schools
Spartanburg County School District 1 will look to a Columbus, Ohio-based company with an office in Charlotte to relaunch its website with a new, tailor-made design.
eSchoolView, an award-winning company that created its easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS) specifically for schools, opened its North Carolina branch just about a year ago. Spartanburg SD 1 is the company's first client in South Carolina.
Spartanburg's new site should launch in early 2016. It will feature new an improved navigation, Google calendar integration and an enhanced responsive design that is compatible with hand-held browsers. The mobile version of the site will include real-time news, alerts, schedules and contact information.
"We provide a number of tools and services — such as mobility and calendaring — to our clients so they can increase efficiency within their districts," eSchoolView's Executive Director Rob O'Leary said. "This new site will streamline a number of processes so the administration and staff can focus more on delivering the best education it can to its students."
Spartanburg's site will also incorporate active directory integration, a centralized system that manages user data, security and distributed resources while operating with other directories.

Its CMS platform also expands a school system's reach through the ability to embed blogs, surveys, RSS feeds, e-newsletters, podcasts and videos.

It combines parent portal features, athletic forms, online enrollment for new students and forms for currently enrolled students in one complete package.
