    Introduction

I have to be honest, when it comes to computer chairs, I am not a fan of the current gaming/racing chair options that exist on the market.  They look amazing and are great set pieces on a livestream but, when it comes to comfort there are plenty of better options available.

Of course, there is also the joke about needing a 5-point harness to protect you from the raw power that a proper gaming pc can provide but, that is a story for another time. wink smile

During CES 2025 Yeyian was showing their new Proact GM1 gaming chair.  The model YAR-GAOME-M1 is designed as an Ergonomic Mesh Gaming Chair offering a 90 to 135 tilt angle and extensive adjustability from the 4D armrest design to many of the available pads used to support the gamer.

What you will notice about the Proact GM1 Gaming Chair is a fundamental change in how gaming chairs are designed.  The traditional gaming chair often resembles a racing seat and, when used in a car is designed to hug the driver and prevent them from sliding around under spirited driving.

This feature is unnecessary in the PC game setting and will often restrict the size of the gamer to a certain body type which can be quite a challenge.  The Yeyian Proact GM1 does not have these same restrictions and while I fit perfectly into a standard racing chair, I cannot say the same for the Proact GM1 where it is clearly designed to fit a wider range of gamers and provide much needed support in areas including the lumbar and headrest.

Other features include an integrated backback hanger a roller base with 60mm silent casters and support for up to 150kg!.  Ill let you do the math on that one happy smile

Look for this chair coming soon to the Yeyian website along with links to their prebuilt and custom PC options.
