Card Layout and Features
Despite GTX 770 having similar specs to GTX 680 the cards are considerably different. The first thing you will notice is the new dual slot cooler that comes attached. For those of you following the GTX Titan launch this cooler will look familiar as the design is almost identical. In fact during our review it was discovered that the heatsink interface is common while the top cover can be swapped out to have the proper logo.
A striking feature of the heatsink is the embedded window showing the heatsink array. While this may turn into a "omg this needs to be cleaned" window the inclusion of it is a very nice touch.

Flipping the card over you can see that there have been some changes over the previous GK104 PCB design. In a way this board design looks more traditional with the PWM located vertically near the power connectors and, not surprisingly also looks like the PCB used on GTX Titan and GTX 780.
Video output is comprised of two dual link DVI video outputs combined with a single Display Port and standard HDMI connection. All four of these can be used at the same time allowing you to run 3-way surround and still have a spare monitor for use outside of the game.

3-way and 4-way SLI are possible using the GTX 770 given the dual SLI bridge connections found at the top of the card. The custom cooler found on the GTX 770 allows for solid SLI bridge connectors to be used including some fancy ones with metalized logos. Honestly, we see solid bridge connectors all the time, why hasn't anyone ever created a cover for them?
