    Card Layout and Features

As with most custom MSI video cards the GTX 660 Gaming comes with the Twin Frozr cooling system.  Twin Frozr IV used on the Gaming edition cards are dual fan with a shroud that resembles a Lightning edition card.

The GTX 660 Gaming measures in at 9 inches giving it a standard length that should fit into most standard desktop systems.
Flipping the card over we can make out where all of the major components are located.  Along the side opposite the video connections we have the VRM followed by the GPU which is surrounded by GDDR5 video memory chips.  The Twin Frozr IV is held in place with four spring loaded screws and secured at each corner of the GPU.

Video output is comprised of two dual link DVI video outputs combined with a single Display Port and standard HDMI connection.  All four of these can be used at the same time allowing you to run 3-way surround and still have a spare monitor for use outside of the game.
SLI will be limited to a maximum of two GPUs when using the GTX 660 due to the single SLI bridge connection.  We have seen this become a standard for the lower end graphics cards due to the buying tendencies of consumers at this level.
Unlike some of the higher end cards from MSI the GTX 660 Gaming doesn't come with a heat spreader for the PWM or memory.  This can be a mixed blessing for anyone wishing to watercool this GPU.  On the positive the card is completely open and will accept just about any GPU based waterblock you can find.  The only downside is that you'll need to acquire VRM and memory heatsinks for any extensive overclocking.
