    Conclusion

Gigabyte has come through again with the GeForce GTX 760 OC Version.  Although the GV-N760OC-2GB is really a refresh of the GTX670 design, the addition of the award winning Windforce 3x cooling system helps lift the performance well beyond what we have seen from the reference design and leverages all of the same advancements found in the GTX 770.

In building the GTX 760 NVidia has provided a boost in the base clock speed, upped the memory speed and added Boost 2.0 technology.  The memory bus width is still 256-bit however, the memory clock is considerably higher giving you a 6Ghz data rate for a total memory bandwidth of 192.26 GB/s. NVidia is quick to point out this is a 3X performance boost in just four years of development (based on the GTX 275).

I always opt for a factory overclocked card when the option is available.  You get a nice boost in performance out of the box coupled with improved components.  The Windforce 3X is exactly the type of upgrade you can feel good about spending a few dollars on.  It not only provides an excellent dissipation rate but when combined with GPU Boost 2.0 technology enables higher performance due to consistently lower temperatures.

Unlike the reference design, the Windforce 3X cooler does vent directly into your system requiring a good airflow to reach peak performance. During testing this GTX 760 did run warmer than expected with typical exhaust and surface temperatures in excess of 65c and this was with the fan set to 100% and the side of the case off.

During testing the GTX 760 edition card posted a nice increase over the reference design and really shows how far NVIDA has come against any of the Radeon HD 79XX cards. The GTX 760 OC Version is clearly targeted at a more budget minded system with a launch price expected to be sub $300 this card has a lot going for it; TXAA antialiasing, three way SLI ready and PhysX enabled, it's getting a lot harder to choose an ATi card.
    Good Things
    Windforce Cooler
    Custom PCB Design
    5-Phase PWM
    Factory Overclocked
    Bad Things
    Exhaust vents into the chassis
Would have liked to see the updated WIndforce 3X on this card.
