Sennheiser GSP 670 Layout and Features

The GSP 670 headphones are a closed back design to help provide a full encapsulated gaming experience.  Although they are primarily marketed for the PC and the PlayStation 4 the GSP 670 headphones can be simultaneously paired with to compatible devices such as smartphones or tablets.

At first glance the GSP 670 design may look bulky compared to similar products on the market.  This is a bit deceptive as they weigh in at a trim 398 gr (~14 oz) and distribute the weight well. After hours of use at a LAN party I still didn’t notice the weight!

Credit for that all day comfort goes to the included GSA 601 Ear Cushions. These ear pads are smaller than some I have used and some contact will happen for larger ears. The pads made from thick memory foam, covered in leatherette on the outside and a suede-like material on the part that touches the skin.  The result is a super comfy fit that never felt hot or sweaty and will easily mold to the shape of your head.

All of the controls are located on the sides with the large volume knob doubling as the power switch. Muting the mic is as simple as swinging the mice to an upward position.  This means you don’t have to take your eyes off the game for all your common controls.

The GSP 670 ships with a proprietary dongle that is paired with the headset right out of the box. In a pinch you can pair it just like any Bluetooth device.  There is also a nice 1.5 meter cable for charging though you may already have a micro USB cable or two lying around.  The headset works just fine while charging too.
