Included Goodies
We have come to expect more goodies from our high-end motherboards to help justify the additional cost and EVGA includes a fair amount of parts with the X79 Dark which is all pictured below.
In terms of documentation you will get a rather thin users guide and fold out quick start poster. Combined these two will help you locate all of the key components on the motherboard and even help troubleshoot POST codes in the event you have problems booting.

You will get two expansion slot breakouts that include USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connections. The cable pack includes four SATA cables of two different varieties and two types of SATA power connections.
For those of you interested in trying out GPU Link there is a multi stranded cable that will connect your video card to the motherboard along with the voltage test leads that attach directly to the motherboard.

An EVGA branded I/O cover is included along with three SLI bridges for 2-way, 3-way and 4-way configurations. We mentioned before how you could use LGA 1366 style heatsinks on the X79 Dark and to do so you'll need to replace the existing backplate with the smaller version included in the box. It should be noted that the replacement is actually the standard version you would normally get had the screw points been attached to the top.
