Viper V570 RGB Gaming Mouse Layout and Features

Probably the first thing you notice about the V570 is the large array of buttons across the left hand side.  This makes the design clearly right handed and with an emphasis on a palm grip.  This also makes the V570 a solid choice for both FPS players and MMO enthusiasts with a need for more programmable features. In fact there are 13 programmable buttons in total.

Starting with the right side allows you to see the contoured shape of the V570 clearly.  Patriot has gone with the popular Omron switches rated at 10 million clicks and finished the primary clicks with a soft comfortable coating. Patriot claims this provides zero delay which would only be limited by the USB channel.

Most of the customization can be found on the left side.  Two buttons, labeled 1 and 2, are positioned to the left of the primary finger position and default to page forward and back. A set of 5 buttons, numbers 3-7, are above the thumb position. And a single larger button, number 8 of course, is setup in front of the rubberized thumb grip. This button is set to Sniper Mode by default providing an instant switch to 400 DPI when depressed.

Here is a closer look at the front.  A large, rubber mouse wheel provides solid feedback and falls into a comfortable grip range.  Behind the wheel are two more buttons to select from the four DPI presets on the fly.  There are four LED lights just to the left providing visible feedback on the current DPI selection.

The back view really emphasizes the shape.  The Patriot Engineers have clearly worked to find a shape that is instantly familiar in your hand.  Sharp eyes will see the normal bold red Patriot logo has been blacked out nicely.
