    MasterFan Pro Layout and Features

As I mentioned before each MasterFan Pro is designed for a specific situation and while you can use them however you choose they are most efficient when properly matched.   As with most fans these properties change depending on how fast the fan is operating.

    MasterFan Pro 120 Air Flow

Air Flow fans are designed as a low pressure fan which is indicated by the large paddle style fan blades.  This is a lower spinning style fan designed to grab large scoops of air.  Generally, the fan type is rather quiet when the RPMs are kept down..

    Limits and Specs
    S Mode: 650 – 1100 RPM / 48.8 CFM / 20 dBA
    Q Mode: 650 – 1550 RPM / 72.4 CFM / 30 dBA
    P Mode: 650 – 1900 RPM / 84.5 CFM / 36 dBA

    MasterFan Pro 120 Air Balance

Air Balance fans are designed quite differently and feature more cooling fins with a thin swept profile.  Having more blades allows the fan to spin faster and produce less harmonic noise especially when used on heatsinks and radiators.  In terms of specs this fan is very similar to Air Flow.

    Limits and Specs
    S Mode: 650 – 1300 RPM / 42.7 CFM / 20 dBA
    Q Mode: 650 – 2000 RPM / 66.7 CFM / 30 dBA
    P Mode: 650 – 2500 RPM / 83.1 CFM / 36 dBA

    MasterFan Pro 120 Air Pressure

Air Pressure fans are designed for situations where airflow is restricted such as with very thick radiators and radiators with higher fin density.  These situations require more fan to be used and while you could use a more powerful “flow” style fan it will be munch louder over using a “pressure” style fan.

    Limits and Specs
    S Mode: 650 – 1550 RPM / 35 CFM / 20 dBA
    Q Mode: 650 – 2250 RPM / 53.5 CFM / 30 dBA
    P Mode: 650 – 2750 RPM / 62.1 CFM / 36 dBA
