Case Layout and Features Cont.
Looking at the bottom of the case you will find two extremely large filter screens that do a great job at stopping larger dust particles from entering the case. Each of these filters is held in place with a few magnets making them easy to remove and reattach after cleaning.
We mentioned before how Silverstone was able to reduce the overall size of the Raven 3 and some of that savings was by moving the PSU from the top of the case to the unused location under the external 5.25" drive bays. This allowed the case to become shorter and also allowed for air to pass completely thru the drive cages and into the case.
Granted the new PSU position is a bit unorthodox but really it doesn't matter provided it stays cool. To ensure proper cooling there are waffle vents in each side panel and a filtered vent at the bottom of the case. The power cord will pass under the chassis and plug in behind the front feet. A short extension cable will connect that plug to the PSU completing the connection.
