In Win 707 Tower Case Review

With the side panels off we get our first look at the inside design. I know it’s been a while since I looked at a full tower but there’s a lot of space inside! The 707 will support oversized video cards up to 14.37 inches (365 mm) and even the largest power supplies without cramping on space or air flow. Cable management is aided by the five runner grommets and help to hide cables around the motherboard. Fit and finish are all top notch with not a single dangerous edge.
Sharp eyed viewers will notice there is additional space in the bottom of the 5.25” drive bay cage. This additional space along with any unused external drive bays makes a natural resting place for a reservoir.
From the back you can see the motherboard tray has an oversized cut out for access to the CPU heatsink and to maximize the effectiveness of that rear venting. One thing I love about these full size cases is the amount of space available in back to hide away unsightly cables. There are even hooks to secure cables to eth back with the included cable ties. This is even more important in a case with such a large window!
Both of the 3.5” drive cage assemblies can be removed allowing for up to 8 total 3.5” or 2.5” drives internally. This also dramatically improves air flow from the front of the case and makes room for additional cooling components.
Once we have the drive bays out you can see the front two 140mm fans. These fans also include the Y adapters to run separate fans as needed. I wonder why the back fan was not wired this way. The remaining drive bay frame could also be used as a mount for drives or what have you without compromising the chassis integrity.
The top three 5.25” drive bays feature tool-less installation via the yellow trimmed brackets making installation a breeze. Installation of the bottom drives simply requires removing the trays and installing the drives to the trays shown here via the yellow pins. Vibration reducing mounts are a nice touch.
Accessories included are a User Manual, 4 PSU screws, 14 fan screws of various types, 8 HDD screws, a bag of motherboard standoff screws with an adapter, 12 metal grommets for water cooling, 2 rubber power supply pads, 4 cable ties and three screws for ODD installation in the extra slot. All are in labeled bags and helpfully defined in the User’s Manual.
