ASUS TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB Case Review

Case Layout and Features
The GT302 really does lean into the grid design. Design cues are easily recognizable without any risky architecture. The layout manages to be both traditional and attractive.
Our left side is dominated by a tinted, tempered glass window. The glass goes nearly edge to edge exposing your build for better or worse! Sharper eyes may notice there are no thumbscrews! The sides are held in place via a bottom hinge and two top push fasteners.
The right side may not have a matching window but the full-length venting comes pretty close. I can confirm there isn’t much room to add any more venting on any surface.
Controls are located at the top of the front panel. This panel includes from left to right: Two USB 3.x Type-A ports, a power button, a reset button, a four-contact audio combo jack, and a USB Gen 2x2 Type-C port.
Things may look traditional but the ASUS engineers do have a few tricks up their sleeves. Take for example the inclusion of eight expansion slots rather than the usual 7.
The interior is left open with no structure to prevent airflow. It feels much bigger than the interior looks in pictures. Support for those rear facing or hidden connectors shows in the distinctive openings around the motherboard mounting.
Motherboard support is provided for ATX and E-ATX form factors up to 280mm wide. A large opening is available to give access to the back pf the motherboard and processor mounts.
Removing the top is just as easy revealing a fine mesh dust filter. This mesh is not removable but it does look like the entire assembly can be washed as needed. The top does give your first glimpse at the amount of space behind the motherboard tray for cable routing. More on that in a minute!
The top panel can also be removed via two screws to provide easy access to the top fan/radiator mounts. Support is provided for an additional set of three 1200 or 140mm fans or radiators in the 280mm or 360mm sizes. Optional of course.
A similar filter can be found behind the front panel. This metal mesh filter can be removed for cleaning and is held in place by a set of sliding tabs.
Included cooling is provided by a set of three preinstalled ARGB 140mm fans (AR140) up front and a single ARGB 140mm fan in back (AR140). The translucent blades provide terrific ARGB effects while remaining quieter than most preinstalled options.
The GT302 uses a two-compartment design to separate the power supply and drive cage from the main compartment. Even the divider has the grid style venting.
There is a generous amount of space behind the motherboard. Two of the 2 x 2.5" drive mounts sit to the left of the Velcro bundled cable runs.
Here is a closer look at the lower drive trays. Two removable 3.5-inch drive trays are available. Both can support 2.5-inch drives, as well.
A set of flexible cable clips follow the back surface for power leads or other cable routing needs.
Asus includes a box of accessories. Included are a bag of zip ties, the vertical GPU bracket, some additional plastic brackets, and some additional screws for all common installations.
