PETG Hardline Watercooling Loop
Both Dennis and Darren are no strangers to casemodding and between the two of them have done a wide variety of mods from simple fan and lighting installs to complete custom paintjobs with elaborate watercooling loops. Despite the long list of modding accomplishments there are still things to tackle and new tekniqs to uncover. One such “mod”, if you can call it that, is the installation of a hardline watercooling kit. Much like softline tubing the process is rather straight forward but requires a bit more work and is much more aesthetically pleasing.
In this segment Dennis and Darren talk about installing a TT Premium watercooling kit into a custom painted Thermaltake Core V51 chassis. The discussions start with making the first bend and extend well into day to day benefits and the challenges associated with doing a hardware upgrade. As you can imagine it is a rather involved process.

Gigabyte 30th Anniversary Casemodding Competition
It is hard to imagine that Gigabyte has been around for 30 years delivering joy to computer enthusiasts and system builders across the globe. I mean it seems like just yesterday I was down at the computer store picking up a Pentium MX 200 so I could play Quake and needed a motherboard. (Oh wait, that was yesterday) Point is Gigabyte was there delivering performance were it was needed.
Well, to help celebrate 30 years of hardware excellence they are hosting a casemodding competition called Mod 2 Win. This competition is open modders in US and Canada with the grand prizing being cold hard cash, some computer gear and a trip to CES 2017 and a chance to hang out with employees of Gigabyte.
Dennis has entered the competition with a very unique build that combines casemodding with overclocking in a project called “Untitled”. Of course looking back at some of the mods Gigabyte has featured at the various trade shows there is a good (very good) chance that modders building their case from scratch will win the grand prize but, you never know.
