Back in February the world was dealt a huge blow with the announcement that Frys Electronics was closing their doors.  Frys Electronics was primarily a west coast store that sold most everything from home and car audio to office furniture, personal electronics, actual electronics and most of the computer components needed to assemble a computer.  Each store featured a theme that matched the city.  For instance, the store in Las Vegas featured a gambling facade while stores in California ranged from steam punk to Greek mythology.  Inside the store you would find isle after isle of “stuff” and to make a purchase you would be led down several long isles of “impulse buy” items allowing you to pick up anything from energy drinks to phone chargers and knick nacks.

Sadly, “we” didn’t have a Frys in Idaho but the closest thing to it is Best Buy which is similar however, might be best described as the store that sells anything run by electricity provided you don’t have to assemble it yourself.

Well, times are changing, Best Buy is now a ghost town, no movie section, killer deals on TVs nobody should buy and seems to be keeping the doors open by selling smart phones.  Some would say that Amazon and Ebay are to blame however, the catalog and Online Shopping model have been around for centuries which leaves the consumers and a major shift in buying habits.
